About Me

Since moving to sunny California in 2000 to pursue music in college, (basically, I enjoy the weather way too much to leave!), my passion for teaching grew out of my own vocal challenges as a young singer. I searched to find the right philosophy and method to rehabilitate my voice. Through that, I discovered that true excellence must be sought after like a treasure (what’s popular is not always right, and what’s right is not always popular!)

Through decades of mentorship by the best music teachers alive (stemming back to Beethoven- gawk!), avid research, and continued education, I have been able to build, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and watch vocalists in my studio thrive. As a professional musician, choral conductor, and vocal pedagogue, I’ve continued with my music career offering skills and talents to help others. That’s pretty darn fulfilling!
