Choir

“Singing in a choir is an absolutely unique experience. It is one of the most important things in the world. Where else do you have everyone doing the same thing at the same time, without the use of special equipment, and for a greater purpose, and no one is sitting on the bench?” -Fort Bend Boys Choir

Meet the Team

The Music Ministry at St. Paul’s has a Music Minister, Choral Director, and Organist. Having these experts in their fields allows a high level of output.

Tara Eisenhauer, B.A., M.M.

Choral Director

Since 2016, Ms. Eisenhauer has directed the St. Paul’s Choir. Before that she directed Pacific Chamber Singers. She has always participated in choirs, either singing or leading. With a special knack for vocal pedagogy, she has trained St. Paul’s Choir to a high level of musical excellence. In addition to classics, she likes diversity in choral music, and especially looks to support contemporary female composers.

Felix Eisenhauer, D.M.A., M.M., B.M.

Music Minister

Dr. Eisenhauer is the head Music Minister at St. Paul’s Music Ministry. He has worked there since 2016. His expertise in a variety of music, instrumentation, composition, arranging, piano and organization all assist in running a successful music program. He does a lot of the background work that no one gets to “see.” In addition, he also sings tenor in the choir. More at felixeisenhauer.com.

Sara Frey Edwards

Organist

Ever multi-faceted with talent, not only does Ms. Edwards lead hymns on the organ, accompany the choir’s anthems, and prepare preludes, postludes, and more, but she also sings Alto in the choir. Her life-long commitment to music in the church is an example of her commitment to the progression of the music ministry as a whole.

At St. Paul’s Choir…

We serve through music ministry….

because it is how we show love to the world. Utilizing our gifts and talents, skills and passion, we can express love and light through music.

Why should I consider singing in a choir?

  • There’s no better place to work your instrument than with a choir which allows you to utilize numerous vocal abilities.

  • You will practice singing songs that will increase your musicianship so that no matter what your goals are, you will have the all the diverse skills necessary.

  • When we sing with others, we bond. We hear the beautiful musical sounds that allow our hearts to merge and let go of the distractions of the outside world. It allows us to be truly present, collaborative, and connected to ourselves and others.

  • One need not be a member of the church to serve in the music ministry. We welcome all that share in the love of music.
